Girls Team Updates

At the Level 8, 9, and 10 Lightning City Gymnastics meet 18 gymnasts qualified for the Regional Championships and 17 individual state championship titles were won along with 1 team title.

These include Level 7 Anna W. and Jen H. taking first on vault, Aimee G. taking first on uneven bars and in the all-around, and Mac A. winning first on uneven bars.  The Level 7 team took 2nd place.

In Level 8 Sami F. took first on vault and in the all-around.  She also made the Florida State Team.  Sami C. won first on vault, floor, and all-around.  Monica S.  took first on balance beam and the Level 8 team took 4th place.

Our Level 9's took first place team.  Rachel B. took first all-around and Katie G. took first on vault, bars, and all-around.

The Level 10's took sixth place team along with Rose P. winning first on vault and Haylan H. taking first on balance beam.

Boys Team Updates

On March 12 & 13, 2011 in Boca Raton, FL  the Gymnastics Plus Men's Team competed in the Florida Men's Gymnastics State Competition.  All of the gymnasts on the team qualified for the Regionals.

Bradley Mormile, Alec Golden, Dalton Arkell, and Jacob Burnett, earned spots on the Florida State Team.  Sayon Larry , Garret Barger , Brody Golden , and Alec Golden won the First Place All Around State Title in their level/age group. 

Sayon Larry won 1 place on floor and in the all-around.  Garret Barger too first on P-Bars and all-around.  Avery Cerullo placed first on pommel.  Major Bain took first on vault.  Christian Felt won first on on floor.  The Level 4 Team took first place.


Matthew Mormile won 2nd all-around and Tyler Henne took first on High Bar.  Bradley Mormile took 3rd all-around and Adler Bain placed 3rd on rings.  The Level 5 Team took 2nd place.


In Level 6 Brody Golden placed first on P-bars and took gold in the all-around.

Alec Golden placed first all-around, on vault, on floor and on P-bars.  Dalton Arkell won first on pommel and high bar.  Dallas Arkell to 2nd on on vault and high bar.  Jacob Burnett won 2nd on P-bars.  The Level 8 Team took 1st place at the championships.
